Autumn has arrived with fog, fallen leaves and a general dampness in the air. The burial mounds at Sutton Hoo have taken on a new appearance as they emerge from their white blanket, perhaps adding to the emotional engagement with this historic landscape.
David Gill is Honorary Professor in the Centre for Heritage at the University of Kent, and Honorary Research Fellow in the School of History and an Academic Associate in SISJAC at UEA; Professor of Archaeological Heritage.
