Bawdsey Radar and Quay Visitor Centre

One of the key testing grounds for radar in the late 1930s was at Bawdsey in Suffolk. The DCMS has announced that the Bawdsey Radar and Quay Vsitor Centre will be awarded £45,000 from the Coastal Heritage Fund (DCMS).

This funding will be used to attract more tourists to the area by supporting two major tourist projects at the end of the tourist trail on the peninsula (Bawdsey Radar & Bawdsey Amenity site development project).

This is in addition to the announcements made for Landguard and the Ipswich Waterfront.
