Dorchester: Heritage Sign

This ‘R.A.C. Road Sign’ created by Burrow of the Kingsway in London outlines some of the key heritage sites around Dorchester, the Roman Durnovaria, including the ‘Prehistoric Camp’ at Poundbury, and the ‘Great Prehistoric Earthworks’ at Maiden Castle.

  1. Thank you for posting this sign. I am interested in signs, but also interested in Ed J Burrow, referred to on this sign. I have been collecting Burrows guide books and printed ephemera for over 45 years but have never come across such a sign! I would love to see it in real life, is this sign on public display somewhere please?
