Dorchester: Heritage Sign
This ‘R.A.C. Road Sign’ created by Burrow of the Kingsway in London outlines some of the key heritage sites around Dorchester, the Roman Durnovaria, including the ‘Prehistoric Camp’ at Poundbury, and the ‘Great Prehistoric Earthworks’ at Maiden Castle.

Thank you for posting this sign. I am interested in signs, but also interested in Ed J Burrow, referred to on this sign. I have been collecting Burrows guide books and printed ephemera for over 45 years but have never come across such a sign! I would love to see it in real life, is this sign on public display somewhere please?
It was in my collection of 35 mm slides photographed in the 1970s. I suspect it is no longer on display. Happy to send you a scan of the image.
That would be great, thank you David. I have a huge collection of sign photos too!!
contact me here and I will send it over: https://people.uea.ac.uk/david_w_gill
